Each year the Aberdeen Geological Alumni organise a "geology cruise" from Stonehaven, going between the HBF and Crawton. Complete with commentary on the geology it is an opportunity to see the HBF from a different viewpoint. Also to get a close look at the birds on the reserve at RSPB Fowlesheugh. Dolphins and seals may also be seen in the area (no guarantees!). The boat only takes 10. There are 2 trips but they get booked up quickly. Bookings are taken on a first-come first served basis.
This year we go on 15th & 22nd June. £17 per person. If you want to go then contact Roger Hinton. Roger.hinton@aberdn.demon.co.uk
