The Annual Dinner of Aberdeen University Forestry Society is on Friday 4th MARCH 2011 at 7.00 pm at the Copthorne Hotel, Huntly Street, Aberdeen.
The Society is delighted to welcome Mr Tim Rollinson, Director General of the Forestry Commission,as guest speaker. A raffle will also be held to support student activities and we would welcome donations of suitable prizes from you. The cost of the dinner is £26.50 per person (£14.50 for undergraduates). Company sponsorship of tables is welcome.
The Society also welcomes you to the Annual Borthwick-Steven Lecture on the afternoon of the dinner. The 2011 lecture will be delivered by Dr Gary Kerr, Forestry Commission Forest Research. The title of the lecture is 'What is all the fuss about CCF? It's pretty simple - don't we just Carry on Clear Felling?' The lecture will begin at 3 pm in St Mary's (Geography) lecture room G3.
