As in recent years, the Summer Statutory Meeting of the General Council coincides with the launch of this year's Word Festival. Come and hear Dr Pierre Fouin, author and Aberdeen graduate, talk exclusively to the General Council about his new book, Glen Tanar: Valley of Echoes and Hidden Treasures. This free event, which includes a report from the Convener of the Business Committee and General Council notices, is followed by a drinks reception in Zeste, when the Word Festival 2010 will be officially opened.
