Join Donald John MacDonald, STV Editor of News and fellow Aberdeen graduate, for a presentation on some of Scotland’s most notorious unsolved murders, from 4.00pm - 5.30pm on Thursday 13 August.
In a career spanning 35 years Donald has reported on dozens of cases. He also produced the highly acclaimed STV series “Unsolved” which examined some of the country’s most baffling murders.
In what promises to be a fascinating presentation, Donald will discuss the production process, in particular how you persuade family and friends to bare their emotions on camera about unsolved cases stretching back decades.
Donald will also talk in detail about some of the cases he has covered. These include the doorstep killing of banker Alistair Wilson in the sleepy, seaside resort of Nairn and the brutal murder of Bangladeshi waiter Shamsuddin Mahmood, gunned down by a schoolboy assassin while serving customers in an Orkney restaurant.
There will also be time for questions and discussion during the event. We hope you will join us for what is sure to be a captivating session!
We will issue an email in advance of the event with a link to join the talk.
Please note that this session will be recorded and shared online.
