Join us for an afternoon of excellent food, company and music and hear from inspirational speakers at this year's University Lunch. This year we will be joined by Josh Rennie, who graduated from the University with an LLB, Law with French Law. In 2008, along with fellow graduate Ben Iravani and business partner Alex Lawrence, he co-founded Porter’s Gin. Josh will speak about his journey from the University of Aberdeen to running an award-winning craft gin brand.
Formerly known as the Ladies' Lunch, this year's event will follow the University's principle of being "open to all." Everyone is welcome to join us!
At this year’s Lunch the Development Trust will be raising funds to support the University of Aberdeen Centre for Women’s Health Research, which from 2021 will be located in the new purpose-built Baird Family Hospital. The University has pioneered the transformation of women’s health care for many decades. Women face very specific challenges to their health and well-being, such as pregnancy, menopause and women’s cancers, many of which have far-reaching critical impacts on their day-to-day lives. All monies raised at the Lunch will support doctors and researchers here in Aberdeen as they investigate new ways to diagnose, treat and predict a wide range of health and social issues faced by women throughout their lives.
Tickets are £37 each and are available individually or for tables up to 12.
