This past event was fully booked!
Bothy Ballads, fiddle tunes, traditional ballads - Moray has a rich heritage of Scottish traditional music and song which has played a vital role in our culture.
Come along and hear from Dr Thomas McKean, Director of the Elphinstone Institute and expert on ballads and songs, who will give an informal talk exploring the Songs and Music Traditions of Moray and why they are so important.
There’ll be music, song, and audience participation, too!
Following the talk there will be an opportunity to share your favourite music and song traditions with fellow alumni over a fly cup and a fancy piece.
As with all our events you are welcome to bring any friends and family that may wish to join you.
