Ta-Kheru is an Ancient Egyptian woman whose ceremonially mummified remains have been in the University of Aberdeen museums’ collections since the 17th century. Using CT scans and the latest medical visualisation techniques, including an impressive holographic display and facial reconstructions, experts have now been able to uncover unique insights into the life of Ta-Kheru. The exhibition will be open to the public, however at this alumni exclusive event you’ll be treated to a wonderful presentation and guided tour from those behind this truly remarkable work, as well as a once in a lifetime chance to handle some genuine ancient Egyptian artefacts. There will also be hot soup and rolls to help ward off the winter chill outside! Tickets are £8 per person and include refreshments.
