This is the third year that Aberdeen alumni from all along the east coast of the United States will participate in the Tartan Day parade. There is no charge to march or to attend the parade. For those who haven’t marched before, the parade starts at 2:00pm at West 45th Street and marches up 6th Avenue to 55th Street. Alumni and their friends and family are invited to march behind the University of Aberdeen banner.
This year we are delighted that the Lathallan Pipe band will be marching with us. Lathallan is a small independent coeducation boarding school in Johnshaven on the north east coast of Scotland. The Lathallan Pipe Band have a proud 50 year history and the 20 band members and four accompanying staff are very much looking forward to playing and marching alongside members of the University of Aberdeen's alumni and helping to fly the flag for both the University and the north east of Scotland.
