Join fellow alumni on Sunday 18 May for an unforgettable day in Nuremberg, beginning at 9am at the Radisson Blue, just a short walk from the Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof.
The morning will feature a walking tour of the Old Town, including the fascinating Felsenkeller—a historic underground cave and tunnel system. Once a hub for beer storage, the Felsenkeller later served as air raid shelters and wartime production sites during World War II.
After a pause for lunch, the journey will continue to the Nazi Party Rally Grounds and Rally Grounds Museum. This thought-provoking experience will delve into the rise and fall of National Socialism, offering profound insights into this turbulent chapter of history.
Guiding the tour through the day are Professor Thomas Weber from the University of Aberdeen and Dr. Ulrich Schlie, renowned historian and Henry Kissinger Professor for Security and Strategic Studies at the University of Bonn. Together they will provide expert perspectives on the history of Nazi Germany and its impact on the global order.
Please note attendees are responsible for arranging their own travel, meals, and entry costs. This experience is part of a broader European tour led by Professor Weber and participants will join an existing alumni group for the day.
