  • Aberdeen Centre for Women's Health Research Presentation with Dr Abhijit Das - ‘Reproductive Health and Rights in India’

Dr Abhijit Das is a public health physician with over thirty years’ experience in working on reproductive health, gender, human rights and health governance related issues at the national and global level. Abhijit is one of the global pioneers on involving men for gender equality. He has also been active in linking community level practices with knowledge production and public policy. He has authored many papers and articles in academic and popular publications and has been an invited speaker on many platforms including the UN and the EU. He is currently Managing Trustee, Centre for Health and Social Justice, in New Delhi and Clinical Associate Professor, University of Washington, Seattle, USA. Abhijit has served as an advisor with research centres in Universities in different countries and with various policy making bodies in India including the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Planning Commission, the National Human Rights Commission.
