We have just had a brilliant 2-day team away day!
On Thursday this week 27 of the team were able to get together in person at the beautiful new Opportunity North East BioHub. What a great space!
The purpose of the day was really to get as many of us together out of the office, and away from screens and meetings, to do a bit of team building. We started the day with coffee and lots of chat – some of us were meeting in person for the first time.
Clare Trembleau, Staff Development Partner at the University, facilitated the morning for us with an information scavenger hunt in small groups around the Foresterhill Campus. We did almost 4000 steps in the glorious autumn sunshine and learned lots about our campus and our colleagues.
After lunch Clare Matysova, Senior Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Partner, facilitated a World Café, and again we learned a lot about each other and the way we like to work together.
On Friday we were a bit closer to home and spent the day at the Rowett Institute with Caron Foster, Staff Development Adviser, helping us develop elevator pitches and reminding us what an amazing team of people we are!
A big thank you to our staff development partners for a great couple of days, to the ONE BioHub and Rowett for their great venues, and to RockSalt Delivered for a great lunch and cakes!
