The ‘Cost of Living, Cost of Smoking: Community Intelligence for Public Health’ research project led by Dr Lucia D'ambruoso, funded by ASH Scotland and facilitated by Turning Point Scotland hit the headlines this week.
The Press and Journal spoke to Avril Bruce, who took part in the ‘Cost of Living, Cost of Smoking: Community Intelligence for Public Health’ research project, which ‘has enabled her to gain a deeper understanding of the hazards of vaping and contribute to efforts to prevent her family from falling into the same smoking trap’.
STV North also picked up the story sharing our press release and interviewing Avril and Lucia, raising the profile of the impact of smoking on deprived communities in our area and the NHS free quit smoking services available across the region.
A summary of the study can be found at www.ashscotland.org.uk and they posted about it on social media: https://twitter.com/ASHScotland/status/1709493774156439830
