DATAPLUS, a youth-led research social enterprise founded in 2021 by Rwandan university freshmen, aims to empower young individuals with practical quantitative and qualitative research skills. Through knowledge-sharing initiatives and real-world consulting experiences, DATAPLUS encourages youth participation in research and fosters a culture of research excellence. The presentation explores potential collaborations with Aberdeen University in data science, health data science, research management, and technical research skills knowledge exchange, further supporting young researchers in their academic pursuits.
Karara Benon is a Rwandan national and the CEO of Dataplus-Rwanda, a youth-led research organization. He has a research experience in areas like adult literacy, impact evaluation, gender studies, social economic development, and agriculture. Karara is passionate about youth empowerment and economic development through problem-solving research interventions.
Jean Damascene HAGENIMANA is a highly skilled data science professional with several years of experience in analytics, survey design, and data management. He holds a Master's degree in Data Science and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering. Jean excels in quantitative and qualitative analysis, predictive modeling, and data visualization. He currently works as an M&E Specialist and Data Protection Officer at CII-CHIN Ltd, leveraging data for informed decision-making and effective data utilization.
