The 500 Women Scientists Aberdeen pod hasn't met for a while - let's use this session to catch up!
Hi everyone!
We (Dr Heidi Gardner and Dr Samantha Le Sommer - hello!) recently took over coordination of the 500 Women Scientists Aberdeen pod, and we thought it'd be a good idea to get the group together to introduce ourselves, have a chat, and figure out what each of you would like to get from 500WS going forward.
Join us at Aberdeen Science Centre on Tuesday 24th September, 5.30-7.30pm. All scientists identifying as women are welcome, whether you work in higher education, industry, or somewhere else - if you have a scientific mindset we are more than happy to welcome you to the group.
Debbie Mathers, STEM Ambassador Co-ordinator for the North Scotland Hub, will be joining us and will give a short presentation on STEM engagement and initiatives currently running to encourage girls to explore STEM subjects. Debbie will also be processing STEM Ambassador applications on the evening so if you'd like to sign up you can do so during this session.
