The aim of the workshop is to share experience of industrial and academic applications of data science. The target audience is industrialists and academics who work with data analytics to address real world problems.
The aim of the workshop is to share experience of industrial and academic applications of data science. The target audience is industrialists and academics who work with data analytics to address real world problems. The event will enable companies and academics to come together to discuss issues related to data analytics, including lessons learned, success stories, latest technologies, training needs and collaborative opportunities. The event will consist of presentations from industry and academia on data-intensive activities, products and services. The event will also include a panel discussion and ample opportunity for networking. The academic partners, Robert Gordon University and the University of Aberdeen will showcase their portfolio of research and training activities. The event will enable us to share knowledge and to create a network of collaborations among companies and academic partners (including students) leading to the application of data science to the real world. We envisage follow-up activities to further develop these collaborations, leading to industrial placements, KTP projects, and bids for funded research.
