Applying for Accommodation

Once you have firmly accepted an unconditional offer (UF) of admission to the University, you will be sent details on how to apply for accommodation as part of your admissions information. You can apply online by clicking "apply online" below.

If you are an undergraduate applicant who has firmly accepted a conditional offer (CF) to study, you can note an interest in accommodation by clicking the "apply online" below. Once you have an unconditional offer (UF) to study at the University, you will be sent an email inviting you to complete the application form with your choices of accommodation.

If you are an undergraduate applicant and you have made Aberdeen your Insurance choice, you are not eligible to apply for accommodation at this time. You should contact your Firm choice University regarding accommodation options.

We guarantee to offer you a place in our portfolio of accommodation (providing you are a single, new full-time, full academic year student) either University-owned or with one of our preferred partners provided your application reaches us by the deadline which is 29th August 2025 for students applying for Session 2025-26.

All new students who accept accommodation for September entry will be eligible for a free Aberdeen Sports Village membership. Terms and conditions apply.

 

If you have a preference to be roomed in an area with only those of the same gender as yourself, please ensure that you complete the section within the form to inform us of this when you fill out your application form. Other options you may wish to consider are sharing with other Gaelic speakers, the alcohol free block and the quiet block at Keith House.

Only Postgraduate students who have an unconditional offer to study at the University will be eligible to apply for accommodation, you will need your 8 digit Student ID number to complete the online application form, this will be sent to you with your joining papers. Postgraduate students who are attending a pre-sessional course and require accommodation can find out more information on how to apply by visiting the Pre-sessional Student page, or contact the Accommodation Office.

For University accommodation, a pre payment of £100 is required to be paid once you have been allocated a room. This is included in the annual rent but is required to be paid in advance when the accommodation is accepted (i.e. the contract is accepted online).

Students coming to study at the University for January entry can apply for accommodation around late October.
