Aberdeen Science Centre public talk - 16 November 2017
Dr. Anke Roelofs from the Arthritis and Regenerative Medicine (ARM) Laboratory gave a public talk at the Aberdeen Science Centre discussing how we can harness the healing potential of stem cells. Stem cells are successfully used in clinic to treat patients with a range of conditions from leukemia to skin disease. She discussed some of the challenges that scientists in Aberdeen are trying to tackle to ultimately help bring treatments for arthritis that exploit the natural healing properties of stem cells to the clinic.
Researchers from the ARM lab attending the talk were delighted to see such a good turnout, enjoyed stimulating discussions, and are looking forward to participating in similar events in future.
