Biography
In June 2016 Ross graduated from the University of St Andrews with an MMath Mathematics (Fast Track) with his dissertation investigating the history of Latin Squares and Euler's Conjecture on the 36 Officers Problem. In October 2017 Ross began a PhD with the University of Aberdeen Epidemiology group on the effect of lifestyle factors on response to biologic therapy in inflammatory arthritis. He is supervised by Professor Gary J. Macfarlane and Professor Gareth T. Jones. Ross's PhD is funded by Elphinstone Scholarship.

Current Research
Ross's research is on investigating the effect of lifestyle factors (BMI, smoking, and alcohol use) on response to biologic therapies in inflammatory arthritis using the EuroSpA collaboration of European registries in axial spondyloarthritis and psoriatic arthritis. This will involve the use of sophisticated statistical techniques for dealing with the problem of missing data, which is highly prevalent in large registry data.
Past Research
Ross has conducted statistical analysis for research on conditions of chronic widespread pain and axial spondyloarthritis.
