Protest on campus

Protest on campus

Dear colleague,

You may be aware that student campaigners have set up an encampment in support of Palestine today on King’s College Lawn at Old Aberdeen.  We are in touch with campaigners and associated communities as well as the Students’ Union.

The University respects and supports the right to peaceful and lawful protest. Our campus should be a safe space for all, and we are clear that any incidents of harassment or discrimination will not be tolerated.

If you have any concerns, you can reach out to your HR partner or find wellbeing support here.

If any of your students need access to support, they can be reached during working hours by emailing student.support@abdn.ac.uk or by calling 01224 273935. Students also have access to a 24/7 student counselling helpline by calling 0808 1962707.

If you need to raise any wellbeing or safety issues outside normal working hours the University’s security team is also available round the clock on 01224 273939 or at their office at 9A Dunbar Street.

I will keep you updated.

Best wishes

Tracey
