Biography
Heather is Head of Principal’s Office at the University of Aberdeen.
She provides high-level executive support to the Principal & Vice-Chancellor and leads the team providing professional administrative advice and support to the Senior Vice-Principal, University Secretary, Chief Operating Officer and other senior management team members.
The role also involves delivering key strategic projects within the Principal’s Office and wider University. Heather is lead University representative for the DFN Project SEARCH University of Aberdeen programme, which supports young people with learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum conditions to find paid employment.
Her career has spanned the human resources, corporate governance and executive support functions within the Civil Service (Scottish Prison Service), and Higher Education sector (The Robert Gordon University and University of Aberdeen). Heather is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.
