The Wellcome Trust Institutional Strategic Support Fund (ISSF @ Aberdeen)

The Wellcome Trust Institutional Strategic Support Fund supports a range of strategic research activities that fall within the Wellcome Trust's remit and that underpin the strategic plans of the Schools, including;

• Infection, Immunity and Inflammation.
• Understanding the molecular basis of obesity for the development of interventions.
• Applied Health Sciences, particularly through our Chief Scientist Office-funded Health Economics Research Unit and Health Services Research Unit.
• Tissue Regeneration and Regenerative Medicine, particularly in arthritis and joint disease.
