CafeMED Special: Anatomy then and now

CafeMED Special: Anatomy then and now
-

This is a past event

A look at the history of anatomy and how it is taught in the modern day.

The talk will tell the story of the history of anatomy; from body snatchers via the Anatomy Act to the how we train the surgeons of tomorrow, today.

Our CafeMED Specials series takes place monthly in the Suttie Centre in Aberdeen's Foresterhill campus, on a Monday. Sessions will run from October through to December. They are free to attend. No booking is required and places are allocated on the first-come basis. A clinician and a researcher talk about a medical subject and they are all pitched at a very accessible level, whether a healthcare student of the future, someone impacted by the topic or you just think the talk sounds interesting. We then have ample time for audience questions and discussion. The main CaféMED series will run in the Suttie Centre Café from January to May.
