This is a past event

On the eve of one of Scotland's biggest decisions, we will look at democratic transitions and transformations across the globe and the many factors affecting decision-making.

Our Cafe Scientifique Aberdeen City series takes place monthly in Waterstone's Union Bridge book store in Aberdeen's Union Street, usually around the middle Wednesday of the month. Sessions run from January through to October and are free to attend. No booking is required and places are allocated on the first-come basis. What's more, most events are free (though some require booking). All are pitched at a very accessible level and give ample time for audience questions and discussion.
